Pee Paw's Famous Baked Spaghetti

Pee Paw was nice enough to make us his famous Baked Spaghetti tonight and I want to record the recipe here for myself and for the girls so they can use it when they're older. Of course, it doesn't taste the same when I try to make it - Pee Paw's is the BEST.
Baked Spaghetti
(copied and pasted from an email he sent me 6 years ago)

Ingredients
1 lb. spaghetti
16 oz. tomato sauce
16 oz. tomato paste
1/2 lb. hamburger (I used to use 1 lb. but have gradually reduced portion. It's your choice)
1 lb. Velveeta
3 bay leaves (This was in the original recipe. I seldom use them anymore.)
Oregano - to taste (This was also in the original recipe. I don't use this either.)
Salt, Pepper - to taste

Directions
1. Fry hamburger
2. Cook spaghetti
3. Pre-heat oven to 350
4. Slice Velveeta into small strips that can be easily stirred through spaghetti. NOTE: Leave 4 full slices to place on top of spaghetti.
5. Drain grease from cooked hamburger
6. Drain spaghetti
7. Place cooked spaghetti into large, round bowl. NOTE: Add water to spaghetti until it sounds "squishy". This is a judgment call but if you don't add some water it'll be too dry.
8. Thoroughly mix spaghetti, hamburger, tomato sauce & paste, small Velveeta pieces and bay leaves/oregano/salt/pepper, if used.
9. Place mixture in oven, uncovered.
10. Set timer for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes stir thoroughly. Place back in oven.
11. Set timer for 5 minutes. Remove from oven, stir again, and place the 4 Velveeta slices on top. Place back in oven.
12. Set timer for 5 minutes. Velveeta should be melted. If so, spaghetti is done. Total Cooking Time: 20 minutes.
