Ambience

When I told Leyna it was time for dinner tonight she told me that she wanted ravioli. When I told her we were having baked ziti she proceeded to have a meltdown. It's tough being 3. Anyway, I asked her to please at least look at it before she refused it because it was really very similar to ravioli. She climbed up in her chair, saw that I had lit candles on the table, and said "Alright I'll try it since you made it look so special up here!" Who knew that toddlers appreciate ambience?
